The Real Shock Awaits NPP In December – Omanae Boamah
Former Communications Minister under the erstwhile John Mahama government, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah claims the 40 NPP Members of Parliament who lost their seats in the just ended Parliamentary primaries weren’t re-elected by the party’s delegates because they feel neglected by the Akufo-Addo-s led government.
In all, a total of 40 political aficionados were strongly voted against during the primaries in constituencies where the Political Party had incumbent Members of Parliament.
Some Political connoisseurs believe kicking out 40 experienced Members of Parliament (MPs) clearly show that the government is underperforming.
According to him, the shocking defeats means that the people are sending a message to the NPP government to up their game in the few months left in office before the December polls.
The NPP, however, says it’s a good premonition going forward in a political season because it has exposed the hiatuses which they will need to tackle before the 2020 general election.
But Dr. Omane Boamah reacting to this, stated that losing 40 strong MP’s is an indication that the Akufo-Addo led NPP government has woefully failed to fulfill the numerous promises they made to Ghanaians prior to the 2016 election.
”Honourable Majority Leader, the massive casualties in the NPP primaries would have been worse if some NPP Members of Parliament were not shielded from the wrath of the electorates. The delegates live within communities and feel your collective neglect due to failed 2016 manifesto promises. The real shock awaits NPP in December.,” he posted on Facebook.
”When you take citizens for granted, lie to them even about COVID-19 and railroad obnoxious laws through the approval process, the sovereign people of Ghana will meet you at the polls.”
