INTRODUCTION OF THE MTN FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP SCHEMES

On behalf of the Management of MTN Nigeria Foundation (MTNF), we are delighted to announce the commencement of the 2019 edition of the MTNF Scholarship Schemes. The scheme currently in its 9th year is in furtherance of MTN Nigeria’s commitment to the education sector in Nigeria.

As you may be aware, MTNF awards annual scholarships worth N200,000 (Two Hundred Thousand Naira only) to eligible students studying a science related discipline and blind students studying any discipline under its Science & Technology Scholarship Scheme (STSS) and Scholarship Scheme for Blind Students (SSBS) respectively.

Students under both schemes are from public Universities, Colleges of Education and Polytechnics across Nigeria. In addition, students on either scheme who maintain the required grades would have their scholarships renewed annually, until they graduate.

It is worthy of note that MTNF has awarded over N1.9 Billion in scholarships to 3,469 students from inception to date. We are pleased to inform you that the current phase of STSS is open to all 3rd year Science & Technology students in your institution with a minimum CCPA of 3.5 (2nd Class Upper/or its equivalent). Likewise, blind students in their 2nd and 3rd year, with a minirnum CGPA of 2.5 or its equivalent, are open to apply for the a SBSS.

To ensure a merit driven and fair process, we have enlisted the services of two professional bodies (Dragnet Solutions Ltd for MTNF STSS and the Anglo-Nigerian Welfare Association for the Blind (ANWAB) For MTNF SSBS) that will be coming to the institution to verify the CGPA and other important details of shorlisted students from the institution. We kindly request that you accord them the required assistance.
